Unrequited Death Tamara Rose Blodgett 9781475210507 Books
This series must be read in order. The first book is Death Whispers (The Death Series). The second book is Death Speaks (The Death Series). The third book is Death Inception (The Death Series). The fourth book is Death Screams (The Death Series). The fifth book is Death Weeps (Death Series). This is the sixth book.This book was beyond unreal. I adored almost all of the characters and to see them so torn and threatened was just crazy. The Greysheets are at it again trying to push their own agenda in the dark and hidden from the rest of the world. From a world so technologically advanced the thought they could fly under the radar is almost impossible to believe until you remember they are the ones who engineered the technology in the first place and then it becomes disturbingly plausible.
This is definitely a book where action is non stop and coming from all sides ramping up the suspense and intrigue to never before see levels. Who can be trusted? And how far will they go to further the safety (or obliteration) of the group? no one is sure exactly how far the conspiracy goes or who is on what side at any given point. Further down the rabbit hole is where they must go to find the ultimate answers.
I love this series and am glad there will be more! The transition from a ya series to an adult one was very smooth and natural and made major sense for the progression of the story line. To stay young adult would have been impossible to say the least! I cannot wait for the next book For the Love of Death (The Death Series) to come out!

Unrequited Death Tamara Rose Blodgett 9781475210507 Books Reviews
As have been said before, Unrequited Death is probably the best of the Death Series so far. This book has so many twists and turns that it's hard to keep up. It is now the senior year of school for the kids Caleb, Jade, the J's, Tiff, and the others. The story jumps back and forth from the beginning of the senior year to the end of the school year. It's been a quiet time, but things start to happen. The Zondorae's want Caleb dead, and they plan to sterilize all the paranormals. They don't count on Jeffrey Parker turning against them. Caleb and Jade marry, and have a son. The excitement continues throughout the book. I don't know how TRB does it, but I hope she keeps them coming!
I rated this 4 stars because overall, I did like the book. However, maybe I took too much time in between books, because it did take me a little time to wrap my head around what was going on. Another reviewer said it best...there were times were I was confused. It started with the fact that the book jumped ahead by more than a year. We start with Caleb and friends graduating from high school. Not necessarily a bad thing if not much went on during that time frame, but we'll learn that isn't the case. And this brings me to the next part that added to my confusion....the storyline alternates between after graduation and periods within their senior year. As the story progressed, it kind of came together, and didn't seem so odd to be jumping back and forth through time. There were times that I just wasn't sure if I was in the present or past because one minute there were in one place, then they were doing something else...was that because they were looking back again or just that transition stage between scenes? It took about midway through the book before it finally all started to click for me.
So we start with graduation and the look back throughout senior year...not to inconsequential things, but to the one major event that really had an impact on the group. All things seem to lead to how the Graysheets and Zondorai brothers continually try to tear this one group of teens apart. Not that they don't seem to have issues with their peers. That would be totally unlike teens today. The look back highlights what Tiff will face and how that changes the dynamics of the group. Although they are growing up, they are also still very much the same lovable group they've been since the beginning.
There were definitely a few areas I was surprised by, yet not. If you have not read the book, you may want to stop reading at this point since spoilers are ahead!
<spoiler>
When Jade and Caleb realize they are expecting a child...not surprised. Especially given the twist on the Graysheets attempts at ensuring they would all be impotent so that no paranormal could pass their "gifts" on to their progeny. What did shock me was that they married so young, and everyone was just so happy about that. Not that I promote bearing children out of wedlock. They just seemed so young, and that it was more a necessity than a planned event.
Then there is Parker and Nevaeh. Glad to see they found each other, but that relationship just seems to have come out of nowhere...and then to find she is pregnant too...convenient. Again, not a bad thing, I was just surprised that she was as special as Caleb and she shows up in the very last book.
And last, Caleb's decision to help them remove the paranormals abilities...especially knowing they would not get a choice about it. It is kind of arrogant to decide that for everyone, but expect that you are the exception. I love Caleb. I've always loved Caleb, but this was the one time where I was angry with him. Lucky for him, none of his friends begrudged the fact that they didn't have a choice and were ok with it.
All in all, still a great series. If you're not a fan of teen snark or teen books in general, then this may not be for you since they do start young. This last book takes them into the twenties, but to get here, you're definitely going to want to read the entire series.
