Another 3 star rating. I like this author's books, but I was disappointed in the very poor editing and grammar. Does anyone proof these stories before they go live????The story was ok. Nothing really jumped out at me. I kind of felt the characters had a forced chemistry. I didn't really feel it. It was just ok.

To have love and plan your wedding was so wonderful. Then with one tiny thing it's gone in a blink of the eye. It's hard to have love like that and lose yourself. Natasha just never thought love could ever happen for her again until he walked in her door. Matthew knew what he wanted but was so scared to go for it. I'm glad he had his house keeper in his life to knock him up side the head. Glad he went after Natasha and got his woman.
J.A. Fielding my suggestion to you is to read your own book and decide whether or not you submitted your best for your consumer. While the first story wasn't so bad, the second story was all over the place. It was hard to follow who was speaking. You skipped over key information that would have helped the reader follow the story and in general the story was ridiculously rushed. The book was so horrible I didn't finish the second story and honestly can't remember the main characters name. You establish she( the main character) is a hustler do to the hard life she has had living with her drug addict mother and trying to take care of her brother, but the relationship with Femi and her friends at Harvard is skittish. There are times in the story where it appears she may be dreaming but she is not. Femi goes with her to Tennessee and they find her brother in bad shape. Instead of immediately taking the brother to the hospital, they have sex in the car? She is starting to show because she is pregnant but has yet to see an OB/Gyn? Femi takes her to Vegas to meet his parents, but she doesn't meet his parents? And then he kind of wants to marry her but he doesn't even really know if she is pregnant let alone if it is his? And on top of all of this Femi is a Nigerian billionaire dealing with this girl who is a con artist. That is where I left the book and couldn't push through to the end. A good story will never make you feel like you have to push through.
I am disappointed the author has enough success that s/he doesn't feel obligated to deliver a fully realized narrative. Is This Love was an exercise in simplistic plotting. There is nothing in this story that I haven't read in a hundred other stories. Natasha Bailey is a young woman who lost the love of her life and basically hid from the rest of the world. Enter Matthew Leander who doesn't so much sweep her off her feet but rather he shuffles her along on his ride.
There is little to no romance here. Nothing about their initial business lunch/date gave much to foster a curiosity about a relationship.
The heroine vacations with him in Italy. He takes her to the mall..THE FRICKING MALL. Give me a break. He's a travel blogger, why doesn't he romance her by ... wait for it ... traveling? The history of Rome, the ruins in Pompeii, the churches of Florence, the shopping in Milan. They spend two weeks in a villa cooking healthy food and exercising.
The devil is in the details as they often just didn't work here. She's based in Boston, why was her military fiancee arranging for housing at Ft. Meade halfway down the eastern seaboard? It's as if the author generated a home base then picked a military installation randomly. All she had to do was set it in Baltimore.
I finally remembered why I no longer read this author's books, she really needs an editor and she rushes through her stories. Natasha is probably the most developed character. Otherwise the rest of the book is a washed out version of a non-romance novel.
Skip it.

This book contains a

, and love. I was extremely happy to read that Matthew overcame his fear that every woman was a gold digger and gave Natasha a chance.
This was just okay, to me. I think the couple needed a little more relationship time. Their love just seemed rushed which made it seem less real. He was very respectful, patient & a great catch. I'm just not sure that she was really ready to move on.
I had a hard time connecting with the characters in this book. Yolanda was my favorite. Natasha and Matthew both were a bit annoying at times. Natasha just decides to take off to Italy. She and Matthew have a two week affair and then he tells her he has to leave for work. There is no communication for 8 weeks. Yolanda literally slaps some sense into Matthew to fix things.
